At PEAKPsychLA, rates are determined by local standard practices as well as the type of service being provided (e.g. individual therapy, family therapy). Services

What types of services do you offer?

At PEAKPsychLA, we offer individual psychotherapy, couples therapy and family therapy for adults and for children ages 11-17. Please see the Services page for more detailed information on the types of services and treatments available.

How long does it take?

This is an understandable question that many people have and tougher to give one answer that fits for everyone. At PEAKPsychLA, our goal is to get you feeling better as quickly as possible. We realize the investment you are making both financially and with your time, and we want to ensure that you receive the best treatment in a timely manner. Depending on why you are coming in, your preferences, and the presence of other factors that may lengthen treatment, our work can range from as few as 8 sessions to longer-term therapy. Dr. Walker will discuss the treatment plan with you to answer your questions, ensure that your concerns and goals are addressed, and to get your feedback to make any needed changes to the treatment plan.

Does it work?

Our mission at PEAKPsychLA is to use the most up-to-date psychological research on your problem area(s) to determine the most effective treatment options. Dr. Walker will present those options to you and will also work with you to determine what changes need to be made to tailor the treatment specifically to you, which often increases the effectiveness. Collaboration, ongoing monitoring, and giving and receiving feedback are important aspects of ensuring that the treatment at PEAKPsychLA is working for you!
